In loving memory of Caesar the bulldog. Official mascot of 4th Battalion (A Company) New Zealand Rifle Brigade, who served in the Frist World War and died in action. A trained Red Cross dog, Ceasar helped save the lives of wounded solders on the battlefield. Caesar's official collar, which he wore when he led the grand parade down Queen St before the Bridage left New Zealand, is held at the Aucland War Memorial Museum.

This new breed was founded in the early 1990's by Pip Nobes. Pip Nobes is the registrar for all litters from her lines and all such records are held by her. Contact: bulldogaustrali@optusnet.com.au

In August 1998 our dogs were road-tested on the Burke's Backyard television program with a follow-up article in the Burke's Backyard magazine in October 1998.

The idea behind this breeding programme has never been to recreate the olde bulldogge of centuries gone by, but more to alleviate the exaggerations of the modern day British Bulldog which can lead to health problems.

Our program continues to be an ongoing, long-term effort to produce a consistently great looking, medium-sized, family bulldog with as few health problems as possible and having a wonderful friendly temperament. I would be happy to discuss the make-up of our Australian Bulldogs and any other queries about this really great breed of dog.

They come in all sorts of colour combinations - red/whites, brindle/whites, red brindles, reds, whites etc. They can have either a short or long tail - tight screw tails are undesirable.
